30 Days of Yoga

30 Days of Yoga with Adriene

For a little over a month now, I have been practicing yoga every morning. I have suffered from sciatica flare ups for years now and I was looking for a way to add an exercise routine to my daily life that would help with the prevention of sciatica. I knew that whatever I did, I would need to include core strengthening, so I found a few yoga videos on Amazon Prime and on YouTube and finally found a series that I just love. My new BFF is Adriene and she is the yogi behind 30 Days of Yoga – Yoga with Adriene. I love her instruction style and this 30 Days of Yoga has been perfect for me.

30 Days of Yoga with Adriene

Prior to this, I had never participated in yoga. I had often thought about it, but just never did anything about it. In my determination to form a healthier me, I knew I had to do something. I am so glad I did! I can’t even begin to tell you what a difference this little morning routine has made in my life. Even after the first day, my body just felt so much better, especially in the mornings. Typically, I would wake up in the morning, brush my teeth and shower. I was so stiff in the mornings that I even had a hard time showering – you know, reaching your back side or your feet (too much info, I know). But seriously, my day just isn’t right if I don’t practice my yoga. And, doing it first thing in the morning just gets my day off to a better start.

30 Days of Yoga with Adriene

I am currently on day 27 of the 30 Days of Yoga series on YouTube. I’ve repeated a few of the episodes a couple of times because I just really enjoyed them and felt like it was what my body needed for the day, but I’m continuing on. I told Lenny that Adriene is my new BFF. She’s fun, soft spoken and just enough perkiness to keep you motivated. I love it! If you’re looking for a gentle way to connect with your body or add a fitness routine into your daily life, try yoga! I’m sure you won’t regret it and will come to love it like I have.
