I ran across this beautiful things quote online and I just thought it would make a lovely sign or print or wall hanging to brighten your home and to remind us (all of us) that the most beautiful “things” in life are the moments and memories we share with the people we care about.

Feeling Like Less

I have to confess that sometimes I’m left feeling a little defeated and somewhat “less” when I see all these beautiful homes, clothes, people and all the things that fill their lives on Instagram, social media, TV, movies, magazines and even real life.

But, I’ll also be the first to admit that I think Instagram is a great place to discover ideas and connect with people. It’s kind of like Pinterest, but it’s a social platform and not a search engine. Instagram was designed for people to share photos instantly of the things that interest and matter to them. Businesses also use Instagram to connect with their customers – or, more importantly, future customers. And bloggers, like me, use it to connect with their readers and other bloggers.

I get all of that! I think Instagram’s a great place to connect. In fact, I’d absolutely love it if you would join me on Instagram. I promise to keep it real! And if I ever make you feel like you’re something “less” – please tell me.

Just so you know, my home’s not perfect. My life’s not perfect. Shoot, I’m not even perfect (ha!). But, my life is exactly the life I want and love. The things in my life do add joy and happiness (like my renovated bathroom). But the real joy, the real happiness, the real beauty of it all? My husband and my family and the life we share. I don’t ever want to forget that and I hope you don’t either.

Alrighty, back to this beautiful things print….

Let’s Connect on Instagram and Facebook

So, how about connecting with me on Instagram? Or, if you prefer, Facebook? We’ll not only be able to keep in better touch, but I’m sure you’ll find plenty of inspiration. Just try to keep in mind that all the “perfect” photos you see on Instagram aren’t really telling the true story. So long as you and I remember that the most beautiful things in life are the moments, memories and laughs we share with the people we care about most, we won’t succumb to feeling like “less.”

Til next time…
