Create your own personalized Christmas Ornament with acrylic blanks, adhesive vinyl and your Cricut cutting machine.

Every year, my husband and I make handmade Christmas ornaments. Actually, since my kids were toddlers, we’ve been making handmade ornaments.

In fact, I can remember making Beaded Candy Cane Ornaments with my mom when I was a little girl. Did you ever make beaded candy cane ornaments? Here’s the easy tutorial from Arty Crafty Kids. By the way, they’re super easy to make – even for children. (Just be sure to watch them so they don’t put the beads in their mouths.)

My husband makes these beautiful turned wooden ornaments. And last year he made me some acorn ornaments. They’re beautiful and I just love them.

DIY Acrylic Christmas Ornament

This year, I thought I’d make each of our grandkids some personalized Christmas ornaments using acrylic blanks and my Cricut Maker.

At first I thought I’d make them using the engraving tool with my Cricut Maker. But, I ordered the wrong size acrylic blanks. They were simply too thick to be used with my Cricut Maker.

So, I came up with Plan B. Plan B was to make these DIY Acrylic Christmas Ornaments using adhesive vinyl and my Cricut Maker. I was really pleased with the way they turned out.

I used 3″ acrylic blanks. Good news, though! You can use any size because the images are scaleable within Cricut Design Space!

Q. How do I access this Christmas ornament design?

Yes. If you want to use the design I created, it is only available in Cricut Design Space.

No. You can use this technique to create your own design within Cricut Design Space.

Q. What acrylic blanks did you use for your ornaments?

I purchased the UNIQOOO 3″ Clear Round Acrylic Christmas Ornament on Amazon. These blanks will NOT fit in your Cricut cutting machine as they are 4mm thick and your Cricut machine can only cut materials up to 2.4mm thick.

Q. Do I have to use 3″ acrylic blanks? Can I use different ornament blanks?

Yes and yes! You can use any ornament blank. I used these, but some of my favorite are these disc shaped Christmas ornaments, these plastic ball ornaments, and these flat white ornaments.
