Learn how to save money, use safer ingredients, and make your own bathroom cleaner using two simple ingredients that you may already have on hand!
Last year I shared with you my Window Cleaner recipe. I’ve actually used it a lot and although my husband says there’s nothing like Windex, I still think this is a great recipe. It works especially well when you have large areas to clean. I got to thinking about it the other day when I realized my window cleaner recipe is essentially my DIY bathroom cleaner recipe, too.

Sisters Shopping on a Shoestring has a great article on all the benefits of the dynamic duo “vinegar and Dawn dish soap.” They can’t seem to sing the praises of this multi-purpose DIY Bathroom Cleaner enough! The ratio of Dawn to vinegar is dependent upon what you’re trying to clean. However, for my DIY bathroom cleaner, you just need to omit the water and use equal parts Dawn and vinegar for one fantastic bathroom cleaner.

Simply mix equal parts white vinegar with original blue Dawn dish soap in a spray bottle. Boom! Earth-friendly DIY Bathroom Cleaner in a bottle! Doesn’t get much easier or greener when it comes to cleaning products.

You can “probably” use other dish soaps, but the original blue Dawn dish soap is the only brand certified environmentally safe. If it’s safe enough for the environment, it’s certainly safe enough for your bathroom!
