Make dad this DIY Belt Rack for Father’s Day!
This is one super easy DIY project that makes a great handmade gift for dad (or anyone). I actually got the idea from reading an article on The Art of Manliness blog. The Art of Manliness features articles on helping men be better husbands, fathers and men in general. Have you visited or heard of The Art of Manliness? I think it’s a really cool site, so be sure and check it out.
DIY Belt Rack for Father’s Day
If your dad is anything like my dad or my husband, he owns several belts. So, this clever homemade DIY belt rack should do the trick in organizing dad’s belts in style.

Supplies:
Instructions:
- First, you will want to mark the bottom of the clothes hanger rod where you want to place your hooks. I measured to the middle of the rod and made my first mark. I placed subsequent marks 2″ a part, for a total of 7.
- With an appropriate size drill bit, pre-drill holes into the bottom of the clothes hanger. (Pre-drilling is essential in order to keep the wood from splitting.)
- If your cup hooks are too long, you will want to snip off the ends with a pair of wire cutters. Screw cup hooks into pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the clothes hanger belt holder.
Done!
This is a super simple DIY project idea that would make a really nice handmade Father’s Day gift. If you wanted, you could paint the clothes hangers or let the kiddos paint or doodle or otherwise decorate the hanger.
I originally shared this project as part of a blog hop, but it kind of got lost in the blogosphere (is that a word?). So, I thought I’d reshare it with you as it’s an easy, timeless project that will help dad stay organized and keep the belts off the floor.
So, what are you making dad this year for Father’s Day? I’d love to hear about it!!
Til next time…
