When I was a little girl, I used to play school with my sister. At one point in our childhood, we even had a chalkboard – with real chalk nonetheless!

You know, it’s such a shame that chalkboards have been replaced in most of our schools with whiteboards. I mean, I understand why, but chalkboards hold such a nostalgic place. Plus, chalkboards and schools just seem to go together, right?

Fortunately, chalkboards and chalkboard paint has resurfaced in homes, home décor, stores and craft rooms all across America. In fact, if you look on Pinterest or Etsy, you’ll find all sorts of chalkboard inspiration!

How to Make a Framed Chalkboard

It is so easy to make a framed chalkboard using old picture frames. And you know the best part? You can make your chalkboard as small or as large as you want.
