DIY Tile Coasters from 12″ tiles!
Last month, I shared a super easy tutorial for my DIY Tile Placemats with you on Kenarry:Ideas for the Home. This month, I’m back sharing my DIY Tile Coasters that you can make from 12″ tiles.
As I was browsing through Home Depot last month, I stumbled across this beautiful brown and gold 12″ tiles. These 12″ tiles are comprised of 1″ tiles and have a webbing on the back that makes them super easy to cut to size. I knew when I saw them that they would make some beautiful coaster and I was right!
You can read all about these DIY Tile Coasters over on Kenarry: Ideas for the Home. While you’re visiting Kenarry, be sure to check out these other projects that I’ve shared:
Coasters from Ceramic Tile
These Coasters from Ceramic Tile are a little more involved than the coaster project I’m sharing today. Just be sure to follow the instructions on your box of sealant. Since it’s been about a year since I made these tiles, I can tell you that although they look stunning and work perfectly as coasters, the paper I used under the sealant has yellowed. I’m not sure what has caused the white paper to yellow, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Cheese Cutting Board from Ceramic Tile
I use my cheese cutting board that I made from ceramic tile all the time. I can leave it on the counter and it looks just lovely or I can easily store it in the cabinet or on a shelf. It’s just the perfect size for slicing up some cheese, add some grapes, crackers and a bottle of wine and you’ve got a nice little treat for two! Also, this was the absolute easiest DIY project ever!!
DIY Tile Placemats
What would be cuter than a matching or coordinating placemat? These DIY Tile Placemats are so easy to make. Even easier than the coasters because there’s no cutting involved.
By the way, any of these projects would make great handmade gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, showers, housewarming or even Christmas! In fact you could start now and have a set all ready for gift giving next December!
Thanks so much for stopping by The Birch Cottage today! I enjoy visiting with you and I hope you enjoy the projects I share. I also hope they add just a touch of handmade goodness to your home!
Til next time…
