How many times have you thought you needed some time to get away – get away to rejuvenate, recharge, reassess or possibly even to create? At various times in my life, I’ve needed to do just that and, on those fortunate few times, was able to retreat. But today, I’d particularly like to talk to you about a creative retreat. If you’re a blogger, you may find, like I have, that sometimes life gets in the way and you get bogged down with taking care of the kids, running to ball games, and taking care of all the demands of life that your blog just seems like “one more thing” you have to do. Maybe what you need is a creative retreat.
What is a creative retreat?
Well, I’m glad you asked! A creative retreat is where you set time aside whether it’s a few hours, a weekend or one day a month – and just allow yourself to dream, recharge, read or work on projects. Only you know exactly what you need. What’s important is that you take the time to give yourself this gift.
How do I plan a creative retreat?
Again, I’m glad you asked! My friend and fellow blogger Jennie from Little Girl Designs has created the perfect tool to help you plan your own personal creative retreat. It’s a fabulous 68 page workbook entitled “The Creative Retreat Workbook.” It’s full of creative retreat tips, prompts, journal pages and encouragement.
So, what are you waiting for?
We all know that if we don’t make time to plan, schedule it, put it on a calendar or take steps to make it happen, it will never happen. It’s time! Time to give yourself the gift of a creative retreat. For more information or to order your copy of The Creative Retreat Workbook, click here.
As an added bonus, from now until September 1st, when you purchase The Creative Retreat Workbook, you’ll also receive four beautiful printables for free. These photos are print-ready and will remind you of the importance of investing in your creativity. I can’t wait to get started using my workbook, won’t you join me?
Til next time…
