I realize that it’s really fall everywhere, but fall in Ohio is a special time of year. The air has a crispness about it, the trees that were so full of lush green leaves are now bursting with the warm and vibrant yellows, reds, oranges and purples that only fall can display so beautifully. As you know, if you happen to be a friend or family member of mine (or if you happen to actually read my blog posts), our youngest daughter is on deployment with the US Navy somewhere in the Pacific region of the world.
We are able to communicate with our sailor girl via email, Facebook and Facebook messenger. About once a week or so, I find myself emailing her and telling her what she’s missed this past week. So, this week I thought I’d share some of the beautiful fall pictures with you that I’m going to share later in the week with her.
I literally hopped in my car Saturday with my camera and drove around town photographing some of the fall foliage. Our town center also was fully decorated. The pictures of the flowers with the wooden pumpkins were taken in the Grove City Town Center. Just outside of town there’s a small farm that sells pumpkins and mums. The owners were so gracious to allow me to photograph what was left of their pumpkins.
So, our sailor girl may be stuck out on a ship somewhere thousands and thousands of miles from home, but hopefully these pictures will help remind her of all the people back home that love and support her. I hope the pictures remind you to slow down and appreciate the beautiful fall splendor that is right in front of you. Most of us only need step outside our front doors to enjoy the warm autumn display of color. Here’s hoping you take the time to enjoy mother nature’s show!
Til next time…
