Give Dad the gift of a delicious and satisfying dinner with these tempting Father’s Day dinner recipes ideas from The Birch Cottage.
With so many tempting and tasty recipes floating around on the Web, sometimes it’s hard to know exactly which recipe just might be a “good” recipe. Well, I like to think I’ve taken all the guesswork or wondering out of the equation with these recipe ideas for Father’s Day dinner.
You’ll find all of these featured recipes right here on The Birch Cottage blog. Why is that a good thing? Well, it means these are recipes that my family loves. They are real recipes, enjoyed by real families time and again!
These recipes were hand picked with Dad in mind and just so happen to be some of my husband’s favorites. So, serving any of these items for Father’s Day dinner is sure to please your dad, too!
Father’s Day Dinner Idea #1
The first recipe collection I’d like to share, is more of a traditional menu. You could easily start Father’s Day off with some homemade Cinnamon Rolls. I have two cinnamon roll recipes here on The Birch Cottage blog. One is a more traditional cinnamon roll recipe and the other is an overnight cinnamon roll recipe. They are both amazing!
Hashbrown Casserole is one of those kind of indulgent dishes that my family loves. We don’t eat potatoes often, but when we do, you can bet this is one of the recipes I prepare.
Parker House Rolls are the perfect bread to accompany pulled pork. These rolls are light, fluffy, soft and dense all at the same time. The denseness of these yeast rolls makes them perfect for sandwiches, like pulled pork.
Cinnamon Honey Butter goes perfect on homemade rolls! Have you ever been to Texas Roadhouse restaurant? This honey butter is even better! Why? Because it’s made with real butter and it’s made fresh by you!
I first made these Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting many years ago. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought to make them in recent years. My husband and our sons LOVE peanut butter. These cupcakes with the creamy sweet peanut butter frosting are a big hit with them.
Father’s Day Dinner Idea #2
My second collection of Father’s Day dinner ideas is a bit healthier than the first. So, if dad is trying to reduce his carbs, eats keto or just wants to eat healthier, then this Father’s Day Dinner Idea is perfect for him!
Crustless quiche with ham, broccoli, cauliflower and cheese is one of my favorite dishes that I rarely get tired of. It’s perfect for baking the night before as it warms up really well in the microwave. Plus, you can customize this crustless quiche with dad’s favorite ingredients.
These Keto Strawberry Muffins are great with coffee in the morning, for brunch or even as dessert. They’re easy to make and even the pickiest eater will be surprised to find they’re low carb and keto.
Cauliflower Mac and Cheese with Bacon has quickly become one of our go-to side dishes. Heck, we even eat it as a main dish, kind of like a casserole. When you add bacon to just about anything, it makes it taste all the better, don’t you think? ?
Asparagus is one of those vegetables that you either LOVE or hate. But, if you want to take your asparagus to the next level, you gotta try roasting it with garlic. For some reason, roasting it with garlic turns an ordinary vegetable into something crave worthy.
AND if you like Hollandaise Sauce with your asparagus, I’ve got you covered on that, too! It’s easier to make than you might think.
I’ve been sharing a lot of “healthier” recipes lately and this Keto Cheesecake is one of them. This cheesecake tastes amazing. No one would ever guess that it’s low carb or keto friendly.
If you’re gonna make the Keto Cheesecake, you’ve just gotta make this low carb and Keto Strawberry Sauce as a topping.
There you have my two Father’s Day Dinner Ideas. Whether the Father in your life likes hearty full-calorie meals or likes to eat low carb or keto friendly, these dishes are sure to please!
This year for Father’s Day, we’re doing something a little untraditional for us. It started out as a Mother’s Day celebration this year and then when our sailor daughter was home for Memorial Day weekend, we had another wiener roast. I love backyard fires, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows and just sitting around talking with my family.
The kids thought it was so much fun, they decided to do the same thing for Father’s Day this year. So, we’ll be celebrating Father’s Day gathered ‘round the fire pit. I hope you spend Father’s Day enjoying time with your family, too.
