Are you wondering where to find uncommon gifts for your family and friends? I just may have a solution!
{This is a sponsored post. All opinions are 100% my own. You can read my full disclosure here.}
I love making handmade gifts for my family and friends. I also love purchasing handmade gifts whenever possible. I have certainly purchased my share of handmade gifts from some great shops on Etsy, But, I recently found UncommonGoods and after careful consideration, I thought I’d share a little about this company with you.
Although this is a sponsored post, I’m sharing this with you because I think it just might be a unique source for you to find some beautiful and unique (some might call that “uncommon”) gifts and maybe even a new source for truly uncommon handmade gifts. Uncommongoods.com was founded in 1999 as an online marketplace that would “connect makers and their creations with individuals looking for truly special goods, regardless of the physical distance between the maker and the shopper.”
I must admit I was a little hesitant at first when I was asked to write about the uncommon gifts you can find on UncommonGoods. But, after reading about the company and their stand for supporting artisans who use sustainable or recycled materials whenever possible, I had to give the company a second look. I’m glad I did!
UncommonGoods has uncommon gifts for all your gift giving needs. Now you’ll know where to look for unique gifts. Whether you’re looking for anniversary or wedding gifts, you can find great anniversary gift ideas at UncommonGoods like this Pushpin World Map that you can have personalized or maybe you’re looking for gifts for a special someone’s birthday. I know my son would really like these Repurposed Coin Guitar Picks.
Gifts don’t always have to be for someone else. Maybe you’d like some new decor for your home or housewarming gifts like these Map Coasters or maybe you’re looking for gifts you can personalize. You’ll find something for everyone: children, Aunt Mildred, Uncle Chuck and even your hard to buy for dad who literally has everything. I even found this Ticket Stub Diary that I thought was a great gift idea for just about any occasion.
I’m actually quite fond of each of the gift ideas I’ve mentioned. I can think of a number of people on my gift giving list that would love one of these uncommon gifts. I really like the idea of the Ticket Stub Diary. I have had a big old glass pickle jar that I used to dump ticket stubs, play bills, tourist maps, birthday cards and trinkets from all our travels and I dubbed this jar our “memory jar.” Someday, we’ll go through the contents of our memory jar and be able to reminisce about all the places we’ve been, things we’ve seen and foods we enjoyed through the years. Unfortunately, our grandson and his friend had a little accident with the glass jar so I’ll have to find a new home for all our memories. But, this Ticket Stub Diary just might come in to use for storing all those tickets I’ve saved through the years.
I do hope you’ll visit UncommonGoods.com and check them out for some unique, uncommon or personalized gifts this year!
Til next time…
