Spring IS just a couple of days away, right? I'm questioning this because it is back in the 20's tonight. I'm really so over winter! Well, regardless of the weather today, I know it's going to get warmer - eventually. I also know that with Spring comes Easter. And as I got to thinking about Easter, a few songs came to my mind.
And when I think about Easter and songs, I can't help but think about a childhood friend of mine that had THE most amazing voice. We lived on the same street when we were kids and all through high school. We even attended the same church in the small town where I grew up called, Washington Court House. (No, I didn't grow up in a court house. That is literally the name of the town!)
Anyway, one of the songs that always comes to my mind is "Were you There". I have never heard anyone sing that song like she did. Beautiful. Heartfelt. Amazing. I've heard renditions of this song my the late Johnny Cash and even Willie Nelson. But, unless you've heard my friend sing this song, you haven't really heard it at all.
