Welcome to Friday Five Finds #003 where I share a collection of five creative ideas for a handmade home that I have discovered online. This is a new series where I will share my five favorite creative ideas from crafting, recipes, sewing, and all things handmade that have inspired me. Maybe they will inspire you to craft a handmade home!

I like to think of my Friday Five Finds as a conversation amongst friends. You know how when you come across an idea or recipe you just love (like Honey Beer Bread) and you just can't wait to share it with your family and friends? That's exactly what Friday Five Finds is to me.
Friday Five Finds | Episode #003
Supplies Needed
You probably have all the kitchen equipment and supplies you'll need to make the recipe in this month's Friday Five Finds, but I wanted to make a few recommendations that might come in handy for some of the other projects.
Friday Five Finds #003
A collection of five of my favorite Friday Finds. You'll find creative ideas that have inspired me enough to want to share them with you!
Copycat Mary O's Irish Soda Bread Scones Recipe
I love to eat a muffin, toast, or bagel with my morning cup of coffee. I, like probably a lot of you, saw where Mary O's in New York had gone from a struggling scone bakery to an overnight sensation. You can read about her journey here.
Coda Quilted Coat
I've been asked by a couple of people lately if I have a pattern I could recommend for making a jacket out of an old quilt. I don't have a pattern I have actually tried. But this is one that keeps showing up in my search results.
Missouri Star Everyday Scissors - 2 Pair Bundle
Are you looking for some nice everyday scissors? These scissors from Missouri Star Quilt Company are just that! The scissors are definitely more substamtial than what you might buy in your local box store. The scissors also come with a protective sheath, which I thought I was a nice added touch.
The smaller scissors measure 4-½" and the larger ones measure 6". They are named Elna and Lulla respectively.
Weightless Quilter
What a handy tool! The Weightless Quilter from dime (Designs in Machine Embroidery) is exactly what I needed when I was using end-to-end embroidery for quilting. It's super handy for holding your quilting project out of the way and relieving the weight of the quilt on your machine.
Sewing Online with Sulky of America
You can take an in-depth sewing session from Sulky. Work through the lessons at your own pace. Lessons include instructional videos, printables & a pattern. Industry experts take you through a fun project while teaching many valuable techniques. There is a fee for some lessons and some are free!
