When I first started this series, I thought I'd probably share my favorite finds once a month. But, so far, it's been more of a weekly share session. There are just so many creative ideas out there that are worth sharing!

Let me tell you a little about my five creative ideas for this week's Friday Five Finds:
- My Quilts App - A handy app for organizing ALL your sewing and quilting projects. You can read more about it over on the Hooked on Sewing blog where I reviewed the app.
- A Quilting Life Block of the Month 2025 - This is such a clever and practical block of the month program. A Quilting Life is using a log cabin quilt block with a 6" center. You can make two 6" centers each month. Use one to make that month's quilt block and save the other for a future project. See, clever!
- Crochet Granny Square Hanging Flower Pot Holder - What's old is new again and so it goes with the granny square. Granny squares are showing up everywhere! And if you use the Red Heart All In One Granny Square yarn, you don't even have to change yarn!
- InstantPot Pot Roast Recipe - When you are living off a generator and have limited electrical resources, you get creative with dinner. Instead of putting the road in a slow cooker and having it run for 8 hours, I could simply put the roast in my InstantPot and have a tender delicious roast in less that 1-½ hours!
- Rechargeable Light Bulbs - I recently shared via email that we had experienced an historic ice storm in northern Michigan. For two weeks now, my husband has maintained our portable generator and kept us warm, kept our fridge chilled, and provided a way to prepare meals. We had flashlights, oil lamps and rechargeable camp lamps. But, one thing came in super handy. Rechargeable light bulbs!

These rechargeable light bulbs have been a total game changer for us during our power outage. We could turn the lights on at night to use as night lights and then charge them during the day.
I originally bought rechargeable light bulbs to use in some lamps for our mantle. We don't have outlets in a convenient location on our mantle and it definitely need some lighting. So I bought some lamps and these rechargeable bulbs. The bulbs even come with a remote control (two) and have three temperature settings.
