After sharing my patriotic prints with you earlier this month, I had a special request from one of my readers asking if it was possible if I could create a print with the words from God Bless America. So, I promptly added that to my to-do list for next year.
Then, my sciatica decided to flare up and I found myself with a lot of unplanned down time. So, in between napping and crocheting, I created this God Bless America print in two different versions and I also decided to go ahead and make a set of notecards as well. So, it’s sort of a 4-for-1.
God Bless America
God Bless America is a patriotic song written by Irving Berlin during World War I and the lyrics go like this:
While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:God bless America, land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above;
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America, my home, sweet home.

I realize Independence Day is just a few days away, but maybe you can still find a use for this patriotic print in your holiday decor. These prints would look fantastic in frames, scattered around your picnic area or as part of a grouping on your entryway table.

The design will print on 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper that you can trim down to 8″x10″ for framing. As always, I recommend the use of nice cardstock.
