Learn how to switch to Cricut Design Space Beta to access the latest features and app improvements in Cricut Design Space!

Cricut is constantly updating and adding improvements to Design Space. This past year Cricut has made numerous improvements and added features to make Design Space even more awesome!

Sometimes Cricut releases updates in its Beta version of Design Space that you can try before those updates are made live. Super duper enhancements like Monograms and Editable Images – just to name a couple.

Like I said, Cricut introduces new features and app improvements in the Beta version of Design Space before those changes are updated to the Live version.

How to Switch to Cricut Design Space Beta

Switching between Beta and Live is a pretty easy process in Design Space.

Step One: Launch Design Space

If you don’t already have the Design Space application open, go ahead and open or launch Design Space.

Step Two: Open Settings

Click on the “hamburger menu” to expand the menu options (looks like three horizontal lines near the top left of Design Space). Click on Settings.

Step Three: Select Beta

Make sure you are on the General tab, then next to Application Experience, click on the button to select Beta. Then click on Done.

Once you click on Done, the application will restart.

Step Four: Wait for Relaunch

Like I said, once you switch application experiences and click on Done, Design Space will relaunch. You may see a splash screen notifying you that Cricut is downloading an update.

Once it has completed, Design Space will open back up to the main or home screen.

FAQs

How can I tell if I’m in Beta or Live mode in Design Space?

You can verify that you are in Beta mode two ways.

  1. First, you should see the word “Beta” followed by the version number at the top of the application.

  1. The second way is by going to the hamburger menu, then clicking on Settings. Make sure you are on the General tab and make sure that Beta is selected as the Application Experience. Click on the “X” in the top right-hand corner to close out of the Settings.

How do I switch back to Live mode in Design Space?

Switching back to Live mode is just as easy as switching to Beta. Simply go to the hamburger menu, then select Settings. Make sure you are on the General tab, and then beside Application Experience, click on the button for Live experience. And click on Done.

Once you do so, Design Space will again restart. Wait for it to restart and proceed with using Design Space!
