In search of contentment

Contentment

I downloaded the “Building a Framework” eBook from Abby Lawson of Just a Girl and Her Blog entitled “Building a Framework” (you can read about it here). I’m not even half-way through the book, I am already feeling inspired. I have so many thoughts and ideas about what I’l like to share with each of you, that sometimes I’m not sure where to begin. I do recommend that if you’re thinking about starting a blog, recently started a blog or maybe wanting to improve your blog, then read Abby’s book! I’ll share more of my insights from her book in a later post.

What I really wanted to share with you today was a little side trip that I took as a result of reading Building a Framework. I visited the fabulous website called The Inspired Room. If you need to be inspired, go visit Melissa’s blog here.   Melissa also has a new book out that is currently available for pre-sale at Amazon, entitled “Love the Home You Have”.   But, what I wanted to share with you today is this idea of contentment. We, maybe even especially as Americans, never seem to be quite content with what we have or where we are. My Lenny and I are on a different path than what most of society and our friends seem to be on. We’re on a path of meaning and purpose. One where our focus is family and the memories we create along this incredible life journey.

It will truly be interesting to see what the future unfolds for us here at The Birch Cottage. I truly hope that I/we are able to inspire you to be more family focused and content.
