There is something you should know about me. I am passionate about my blog! I really hope that The Birch Cottage can and does make a difference in some small way in the lives of my readers. I have to tell you though, when I first started seriously thinking about blogging, I was terrified. It’s a little unnerving, to say the least, to put your genuine self out there for the world to see. My problem and hesitation with getting started blogging was the fact that I just didn’t know what to do or where to start.
Please note that this post contains affiliate links. I absolutely love Abby’s products and although I may receive a small commission if you purchase her eBook or Framework training, I would recommend this material regardless! You can read my full disclosure here.
I started reading everything I could online about blogging. Although there is a ton of information out there and a gazillion opinions about strategies, I really had a hard time finding a step-by-step tutorial that would guide me through the whole blog setup process. I mean I have a background in technology and web development, but blogging is a different animal. WordPress is a different animal.
Then one day, I stumbled upon Abby’s blog at Just a Girl and Her Blog. That day changed my life – my blogging life. Abby offered a book called Framework and it was the light at the end of the tunnel that I was looking for!
This is your time to launch a blog that thrives!
Last week I shared with you my experience with setting up web hosting with Bluehost. This week, I’d like to talk to you about unbundling your nerves and overcoming your blogging fears. Have you been thinking about starting a blog? Wondering if people will actually read whatever it is that you have to say? And wondering how on earth you would even go about starting a blog? These are the exact type of fears and bundles of nerves that hold people (myself included) back from not only blogging, but starting anything new.
I am so very thankful I pushed my own fears aside, unbundled those nerves and started blogging two years ago. I’m so glad I started blogging. It’s not only given me a creative outlet, but I’ve met some pretty incredible people along the way. And, believe it or not, I have made a difference in a few lives along the way. So, if you’ve been thinking about starting a blog, there’s no better time than right now! Don’t let your fears hold you back.
You know, you’re not in this alone! I have found most bloggers to be caring and supportive and eager to help. There are also a ton of resources available online! One of those supportive bloggers who really wants to see you succeed (besides myself) is my friend Abby at Just a Girl and Her Blog. Abby and her husband are full time bloggers, and they really have a heart for helping people start and grow their blogs.
Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook
They recently released the third version of their eBook/course Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook, which is specifically geared toward helping new bloggers – just like you – get started. The Building a Framework eBook played a major role in helping me setup my own blog, teaching me things like how to set up the technical elements, how to start and grow my social media channels, how to drive more traffic to my site, work with brands, grow an email list, and so much more!
Starting a blog was overwhelming. Just trying to figure out all of the different areas of blogging from scratch, was mind boggling. But thanks to Building a Framework, I had a guide that taught me each step of the way. I am beyond thrilled to not only have my blog up and running, but to have a blog that is thriving and growing more and more each and every day. Amazing!
If you have ever toyed with the idea of starting a blog, this is your time. But, guess what? You don’t have to do it alone! Building a Framework can help you learn the best practices for all of the major areas of blogging so you can be confident that you are starting out on the right foot from day one. It takes the guesswork out of getting started and helps you grow a thriving site that can help others, give you a fun creative outlet, connect you with other people who share your passions, and even help you earn an income.
Please don’t allow your fears to keep you from doing something that you’re passionate about. With the help of Building a Framework, you can push those fears aside and start that blog you’ve been dreaming about. I am so excited for you! I just cannot wait to see what you create!
This is your time to launch a blog that thrives!
Til next time….
P.S. – I first started sharing Framework with you back in April of 2015. I had literally only been blogging about a month. I had no idea what I was doing then. I was just so relieved to have found Framework. It truly made all the difference to me and I wanted to share that with you!
