Learn how to create an embroidery pattern using an image. This Always Stay Humble and Kind image is perfect for learning how to create an embroidery pattern

Hello, dear readers! Today, I’m over on The Summery Umbrella sharing a tutorial on how to create an embroidery pattern using an image. I chose to use the beautiful Always Stay Humble and Kind artwork that was hand-drawn by LZ of The Summery Umbrella.

Once you know how to transfer an image onto your fabric using this easy method, the sky is the limit for hand embroidery possibilities. This was a really easy pattern to embroider.
In fact, I’ve already turned this embroidery design into a cute little zippered pouch. I’ll be sharing that tutorial with you in the very near future.
A surprise visit with LZ of The Summery Umbrella
I am often reminded that this big world of ours that we live in isn’t quite as big as it seems sometimes. For example, imagine my surprise when LZ from The Summery Umbrella tells me she’ll be out of town on business in Patuxent River, Maryland.
Why was I surprised? Because our daughter (aka Sailor Girl) is stationed in Pax. I mentioned to LZ that our daughter lived there and would be happy to give her her phone number if she’d like to maybe meet for coffee, dinner or just to see a friendly face.
So, I did and my daughter was more than happy to meet up with LZ. They met for dinner and I think they both had a nice time. Kristen tells me that LZ is very sweet and funny.
To tell you the truth, I was a little bit envious. I was envious of Kristen for actually getting to meet LZ in person (I never have). But, I was also envious that LZ got to spend the evening with my daughter. From what I know about LZ, she’s a real sweetheart and quite the artist. I’m also very fond of my daughter and I don’t share here with just anybody!

Anyway, I’d love it if you’d come visit with me today over on The Summery Umbrella.
Til next time…
