I love Christmas time. I love the lights. I love the ornaments. I love the decorations. I love the parades. I even love Santa (who happens to be my husband…. shhhhh!!!).

What is a Cricut Shared Project File

Before you can use the Let It Snow Christmas Ornament project file, you need to know a little bit about shared project files.

First of all, a Cricut Shared Project File is ONLY available in Cricut Design Space. So you must also have a Cricut cutting machine like the Joy, Explore Air 2, Maker or the new Explore Air 3 or Maker 3 to use shared project files in Design Space.

You can think of a shared project file as a design that someone created in Cricut Design Space and granted permission for other people to have access to the design. You can access a shared project file by a link that someone provided or by searching through Design Space.

How to Use & Customize a Shared Project File

Using and customizing a shared project file is pretty straight forward. You can edit and save a shared file just like you would any project file that you created. In fact, you’ll want to be sure to save your design often while working on it to avoid losing any changes.

✂️First thing you need to know is that this file is available ONLY in Cricut Design Space. There is no file to download. This is true of all shared project files in Design Space – they cannot be downloaded.

✂️Project sharing is available on iOS and Windows/Mac platforms of Design Space. It is not yet available on Android. So, please make sure you’re using an iPhone, iPad, Windows or Mac computer.

✂️Anyone can create a shared project file in Cricut Design Space. BUT, the key is to use Design Space elements in your project only. If you try to use uploaded images, you will not be able to share your project.

✂️The link for the shared project file will direct you to the project details. Simply click on “Customize” to use the SVG file.
