A Thoughtful Grandmother

I received an email from a reader named Roxanne after I shared my printable Handmade Gifts Planner & Journal Pages. Roxanne asked if I would consider adding one more page.

You see, Roxanne is a grandmother. A very thoughtful grandmother. She is in the process of creating handmade gifts for all her grandchildren. She wants every grandchild to have handmade items from her to celebrate special occasions like going off to college and getting married.

And she wants them to have these handmade gifts even if she’s not around to personally give them. So, Roxanne asked if I would create some sort of gift log that would indicate the item made, where the item is located, and the name of the recipient. She plans to print out the gift log, fill it in, and keep it with her other important documents like her life insurance policy.

That way if she’s not here to gift the gifts, her husband or loved ones will know where to look for these handmade treasures and who to gift them to. I think that’s pretty amazing. Not to mention thoughtful.

Printable Handmade Gift Log

Like I sad, I created this printable gift log after a reader requested it. She had already made quite a few handmade items that she planned to gift to friends, family and her grandchildren.

What she wanted was a way to keep a list of all these handmade items so that if something happens to her, her husband or family will know not only who to gift these items to, but also where to find the gifts. She says her husband would never know where to look for them or who to give them to without this list. And she plans to keep an updated Gifts Log with her important documents.

How to Use the Gift Log

I plan to use the gift log as part of my Handmade Gifts Journal. I’ll print out a couple of pages, 3-hole punch the page, and store in a 3-ring binder along with my other handmade journal and planner pages.
