Are you making DIY Rice Hand Warmers or Flannel Reusable Hand Warmers for Christmas gifts or stocking stuffers this year? These hand warmers are an easy DIY gift idea that will truly warm your recipient’s heart (and hands). Definitely a warm hands/warm heart scenario!

DIY Rice Hand Warmers

DIY Rice Hand Warmers by Typically Simple for Kenarry: Ideas for the Home

My fellow blogger, Kelly from Typically Simple, (I borrowed her pretzel bite recipe) recently shared her DIY Rice Hand Warmers tutorial on Kenarry: Ideas for the Home. This really is an easy sewing project that you can make even if you don’t have a sewing machine.

Flannel Reusable Hand Warmers

DIY Handmade Flannel Hand Warmers make a great DIY Handmade Father's Day Gift Idea!

Do you remember back in October when I shared 25 Handmade Gift Ideas for Men? One of the handmade gift ideas I shared was this Flannel Reusable Hand Warmers idea from Sadie Seasongoods.  Same idea as Kelly’s only Sadie encourages you to use old flannel shirts. (You know, you could probably find some really inexpensive ones at a thrift store. Just an idea!)

Since Kelly and Sarah have already gone through the trouble of creating fantastic tutorials for you, I thought I could better spend my time not trying to re-create the wheel. Instead, I’ve put together a couple of free printable labels for handmade hand warmers for you to use with these projects.

How to Use Printable Labels for Handmade Hand Warmers

Printable Labels for Handmade Hand Warmers by The Birch Cottage are for use with Avery 22816 Print-to-Edge Labels

These labels were created using Avery’s Design & Print Online (I love this program!) and for use with Avery products. But, you don’t have to use the Avery products – it simply makes it sooo much easier for you if you do! Here are a couple of ways or ideas for using these printable labels:

  • Use with Avery 22816 Print-to-the-Edge Square Labels – The Avery 22816 are 2″ square adhesive labels. Simply print out the labels and adhere to some nice cardstock to make a gift tag. Cut out the cardstock a little larger than the gift labels, punch a hole in the top, attach some twine or ribbon and wrap around your hand warmers.
  • Use with cardstock paper – Simply print out the labels on some nice white cardstock to make a gift tag. Cut out the gift tag, punch a hole in the top, attach some twine or ribbon and wrap around your hand warmers.
