The Lemon Peel Crochet Dishcloth Pattern is a beginner friendly crochet project that you can work up in an hour or two, plus they make great handmade gifts.

So, I thought it would be fun to share with you this Lemon Peel Crochet Dishcloth Pattern so you can put to practice the stitch you learned. Just like the moss stitch crocheted dishcloth pattern that I previously shared with you, the lemon stitch works up really nicely into a dishcloth.

Lemon Peel Crochet Dishcloth Pattern
Crochet Dishcloth Supplies
Before you can begin to crochet this dishcloth, there are a few supplies you’ll want to have on hand:
- 1 skein Lily Sugar ‘n Cream Cotton for Contrast Color (CC)
- Size G Crochet Hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Crochet Dishcloth Measurements:

Approximately 8″ [20.3 cm] wide.
You can make this crochet dishcloth pattern as big or small as you want simply by adjusting the number of chain stitches in your foundation chain. Just remember to keep the foundation chain an even number of stitches.
Gauge:
16 rows = 4”
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
ch-sp – chain space
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sk – skip
st(s) – stitch(es)
This dishcloth uses the Lemon Peel Stitch in one color.
Crochet Dishcloth Instructions

This crochet pattern uses the easy Lemon Peel Stitch, which is a series of sc and dc. Just remember to begin each row with a sc and end each row with a dc. As you work each row, you’ll sc in each dc of the previous row and dc in each sc of the previous row.
Foundation Chain: With size G crochet hook ch 27.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from the hook, dc in
next ch-sp, *sc in the next ch-sp, dc in next ch-sp; repeat from * to end of
row. (26 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in the last dc of the previous row; dc in the next sc of the previous row, *sc in the next st, dc in the next st; repeat from * to end of row.
Row 3-21: Repeat row 2.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
