Have you ever noticed that things are always changing? Whether it’s the weather, people, the economy, politics, relationships or even the tides of the ocean or the phases of the moon. Things are always changing!
Things are always changing…
My husband and our youngest son are big opponents of change. They don’t like it when I rearrange the furniture or change the color of the front door or try to introduce new things or new ways of doing things. They are not only creatures of habit, but they like our little family traditions.
It seems like to me though that change is inevitable. Sometimes I’m the one making the change and sometimes life is making the change for me. Regardless of the source, things are always changing.
We are also facing other changes that are a little bit out of our control. To better accommodate those changes, I’m making a few changes (which maybe you’ve already noticed) here on The Birch Cottage blog. I have already begun posting a little less often and I’ll continue at least through the summer with weekly posts.
It is my intention to share with you great content – just maybe not as often. There will still be plenty of DIY projects, yummy recipes and even some free printables thrown in from time to time. I mean, I have so many ideas that I want to share with you, but there just are not enough hours in the day.
My family has always come first in my life and that is one thing that will never change. I hope that you continue to visit me here on The Birch Cottage. I have so enjoyed getting to share my ideas with you and interacting with you. I hope that continues. I mostly just wanted to let you know that things are always changing.
I’ve also got a couple of BIG changes coming to the blog and I certainly hope you hang around to see what’s in store for you here on The Birch Cottage. I guess my changes here on the blog are more about scaling back while adding content that’s more valuable/relevant to you. I’m also planning on adding a few products and I cannot wait for you to see those.
Throughout the year, I get lots of requests for handmade items and people saying, “Wow, you should make those and sell them – I’ll buy them if you do!” So, I’m going to venture back into the making and selling. At this point, I’m planning to make the items available on Etsy, but I’ll be sure to let you know about them here on the blog as well.
By the way, for the most up-to-date, spur-of-the-moment information, be sure to follow me on Instagram.
Til next time…
P.S. – I read this simple but applicable article on wikiHow entitled “5 Ways to Change Your Life for the Better.” It’s a pretty basic principle about the power of positive thinking and taking control over the things we have control over. Anyway, food for thought!
