Banana Pecan Bread for the Bread Machine

The sour cream in this Banana Pecan Bread makes for an extra moist loaf of bread. Created especially for the bread machine.

  • cup vegetable oil
  • 2 extra large eggs lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tspn vanilla
  • cup mashed banana 2-3 bananas
  • 1-1/2 cups bread flour
  • cup sugar
  • 1 tspn baking powder
  • ½ tspn baking soda
  • ½ tspn salt
  • cup pecans finely chopped


  • Add oil, lightly beaten eggs, vanilla and bananas to your bread pan.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to the bread pan.
  • Insert bread pan securely into bread machine and close lid.
  • Select Cake setting; press Start.
  • Using potholders, remove pan from unit when the bread machine signals the bread is done.
  • Turn bread out onto cooling rack.
  • Once cool, slice to serve.
